Steve Hubback is a Welsh percussionist, Gongmaker and metal sculptor. He has toured, recorded and exhibited his metal art in Iceland. Europe. South Korea, Japan and USA. Performed and recorded with Andrea Centazzo and Nadia Birkenstock among many others.
He developed and pioneered cymbal and gong sculptures in the early1990s. His sound sculptures are respected for their high quality and originality and are played by Dame Evelyn Glennie. Hubback Sound sculptures and instruments can be heard on many Hollywood movie soundtracks and recordings by many great artists.
Hubback will present his solo performance exclusively on his self created instruments. Invoking an exploration of unique sounds with atmospheres of density and space. Sonically visual images of metal and fire evolving into creations of beauty.
