Shri K.C. Jain was born in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan, and had the distinction of standing 3rd in the order of merit in Higher Secondary in Rajasthan Secondary Education Board in the year 1974. In 1977, he secured a Gold Medal in his Commerce Graduation in University of Rajasthan. He pursued his Law Graduation and also competed in Civil Services. He successfully achieved both, together, in 1980 when he became a Law graduate from Delhi University as also was selected to Indian Revenue Service.

In his career spanning 37 years, he has served in various position(s) at Gujarat, Maharastra, Bihar, Jharkhand, Delhi, Rajasthan and NWR, both in and outside the Department. He has been with Ministry of Labour both as Under Secretary looking after International Labour Organisation and as Provident Fund Commissioner, Delhi. He had opportunity to visit Canada and study their tax administration and thereafter Syracuse and Wharton University, USA to attend leadership programmes. He superannuated in 2017 as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, North West Region (comprising of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Chandigarh). He has deep interest in meditation and is a good orator.

He is presently honorary Director of Adhyatma Sadhna Kendra an Institution dedicated to Preksha meditation and also working in the field of meditation and health. He has been Chairman of Mahvir International, Delhi an NGO working for eye and healthcare. He is associated with reputed public schools as also with Medi-dialysis Centre which is a unique proposition to arrest and reverse the Chronic Kidney Disorder with the help of yoga and meditation. He is part of many similar other social organizations and NGOs related to Value Education, Healthcare and spirituality.

He is the Chairman of JATF Advisory Board which supports and guides the JATF Administration in successfully promoting this initiative.
