Gurmukh is an internationally loved teacher of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, and pioneer in the field of prenatal yoga, called The Khalsa Way. In 1970, she met Yogi Bhajan who brought Kundalini Yoga from India to the West. She knew immediately she had found her Spiritual Teacher. Gurmukh received her spiritual name from Yogi Bhajan. Gurmukh means “one who helps thousands across the world ocean.”

In the early 1980s, after studying with Yogi Bhajan for many years and teaching Kundalini Yoga in her home in Los Angeles, Gurmukh and her husband pioneered Yogi Bhajan’s first yoga center in the United States. Many years later they opened additional yoga studios in Hollywood, New York City, and Santa Monica. For 50 years, Gurmukh has been uplifting people through these Ancient Teachings that give a way to live. She has trained hundreds of students worldwide to become Kundalini Yoga teachers as well as Khalsa Way teachers through the prenatal yoga training program.

Gurmukh has authored two books, Bountiful, Beautiful, Blissful: Experience the Natural Power of Pregnancy and Birth with Kundalini Yoga and Meditation and The Eight Human Talents: Restore the Balance and Serenity within You with Kundalini Yoga.

Gurmukh knows uplifting and helping others is the ultimate happiness. Gurmukh works closely with her husband Gurushabd of 38 years and their daughter Wahe Guru Kaur. Together they teach all over the world.
