Pankaj Suhash is a musician and tabla player in third generation. He was born in Rishikesh. His father, Sri Uttam Das, was a great musician and deciple of Swami Sivananda and Pankaj Suhash’s first teacher. At the age of 4 he held his first tabla concert at Sivananda Ashram. Until the age of 16 he learnt from his father, after that he went to Varanasi to learn from the famous tabla player late Pandit Lachu Maharaj Ji. Besides tabla he is also excellent in flute, sitar, singing and harmonium. He is the owner of Sivananda Ramesh Music School in Rishikesh, where he has been teaching more than 5000 Indian and foreign students and performes concerts regularly. At the age of 20 he and his father were part of a Israeli documentary about India. He went several times to Europe where he got invited to present and teach Indian Classical Music. In both 2007 and 2008 he spent 1 month in Munich (Germany) at International Art Foundation School. He presented Indian Classical Music and gave many workshops and concerts. 2008 he gave a tabla and flute concert in the famous Taal Katora Stadium. In 2009 and 2010 he performed in Varanasi at Guru Purnima Festival. In both 2015 and 2016 he played in Sivananda Ashram for Divine Life Society. In 2016 he got invited to Switzerland to give workshops and perform concerts. He regularly gets invited by many big Yoga Schools in Rishikesh and has more than 30 years performance experience. Pankaj Suhash has dedicated his life to music, with his passion he captures the audience in his concerts.
